What you perceive, your observations, feelings, interpretations, are all your truth. Your truth is important. Yet it is not The Truth.

Bethy would want you to View On Black
I'm already feeling the let down now that my 30 Song in 30 Days journey is over. It wasn't the first time I've used music to inspire my photography, and it certainly won't be the last, but I do need a bit of a break. So I tried to think about where to find my source of inspiration and it dawned on me that I am most inspired by the people who touch my life on a daily basis. My friends. So I decided that I am going to spend some time paying tribute to some of the wonderful flickr folks who have inspired me in the past and continue to do so every day that they post their beautiful works of art here for us to see.
In case you couldn't guess, today I am paying tribute to my good friend, Bethy. Bethy was one of my first real friends here in flickrland, and to this day remains one of my closest. Her photography is intense, dark, moody, and emotional. She pulls off this particular genre better than anyone I've seen and in such a perfectly Bethy way. As a person she is honest, open, caring and so fun. I can't believe with as close as we now live to each other, that we haven't gotten together in person yet. However, that is going to change in just a little over a week! And I cannot wait! I had so much fun playing around and trying to capture the essence of her style today. I'm not sure if I really did her justice, but I sure tried my best! I even selected an esoteric Bethy-style quote for my title. :)
Bethy, I love you, girl!
