Indian Lake Autumn 2017 229

These images show the stone ruins of the Matz Farmstead (1852-2012) across the road from Indian Lake Park in northwestern Dane County, Wisconsin.

The remains are located within Dane County's Halfway Prairie County Wildlife Area. The house was built of local stone around 1862 and burned down in 1949. Only some of the stone walls remain.

These images were made during an exploration of Indian Lake Park on October 23, 2017.
