Delicately Shrouded

Heavy rains had drenched Arches National Park and the surrounding area the day before. Taken in late November, the cold overnight temperatures created really thick fog the next morning. As I was photographing in other areas of the park, I looked toward the landscape where Delicate Arch should be. I noticed it was invisible, completely shrouded in fog. Knowing that the rising temperatures would eventually burn off the fog, I quickly rushed to the trail head and hiked up the hill; I wanted to be there before the fog lifted. Once I reached the top (and survived the nearly self-induced heart attack), I set up my shot and waited ... for about 2 hours. As soon as the fog began to burn, it went quickly. I hope I caught it at the right time.
