Delivered new to Varig as the 3rd B747 on 04-03-1981 and flown for 15 years, until August 1996 when it was converted to Freighter with a new Side Cargo door, becoming a B747-2L5(SF) and taken over by Cathay Pacific as VR-HMF.
From August 1997 it was leased out to Air Hong Kong with new reg B-HMF for five years. Returned to Cathay Pacific 01-07-2002 and flown for 7 years until stored at VCV in January 2009.
Then flown for 3 years from April 2009 until April 2012 as N815SA for Southern Air. Finally stored at MHV in April 2012 after 32 years of flying.
Reday to depart from GEN/ENGM after a State visit to Norway.
