Old Factory Building - Mohawk, NY

Mohawk, NY - This old building was formerly a knitting mill and is now used as a factory outlet store and student housing. Now a little bit of history: McLaughlin-Stevens Knitting Mill operated until the late 1930s. In 1943, Louis and Morton Kowalsky purchased the plant for a warehouse but sold it to the Paper Drapery Corporation by 1947. In 1956 Mohawk merchant Thomas Fahy purchased it and operated the Mohawk Mill Bargain Center, until the mid-1960s. Today it is the Factory Outlet Depot and student housing for Herkimer County Community College. Located at
