Paddock Mansion - The Back Parlor

The Back Parlor. This is a shot of a section of the Back Parlor which is located on the first floor of the mansion. It was kind of hard to get a good photo of this particular area as there was a rope to stand behind which put you at an odd angle. Here you see a vintage couch. The larger maple table, with the marble top has a lovely candelabra sitting atop it. Next to it you get a glimpse of an antique, fabric covered rocking chair along with a covered stool. That is an interesting antique table, next to the couch, with the center having an image on it - I'm wondering if that is an antique gold gilt table... The opening you see in the rear leads into the Front Parlor. Both of these Parlors have been set aside as a permanent "living history" exhibit". They have been restored to their original conditon in honor of Oliver Paddock who donated the mansion to the Jefferson County Historical Society. Located at 228 Washington Street in Watertown, NY.
