Damping Grease.
No, this image doesn't show damping grease but another homemade brew that started me wondering about it.
There is much written about damping greases on the internet but if you have a concrete look at it there seem to be only 2 or 3 suppliers for this goodie goodie which is used in camera service often in helicoids and other focusing stuff.
The stuff comes in various densities and is rather expensive. Probably you would have to buy 2 or 3 tubes to get the means to mix it your way in exactly the density you need.
Maybe it's really time for another home made concoction :-)
