Vintage Focus Helpers (02)
Vintage Focus Helper 24x36mm
A view on the bottomside shows the circular groundglass.
The idea is that you press this tool against the filmgate of a camera, open the
shutter at B or T, and have a look with a magnifyer at the projected image
on the groundglass in order to check the actual focus of the lens.
This means that the groundglass must be at the exact place in the camera
where normally the filmsurface would be. With this focusfinder that can
be finetuned because the groundglass is fitted inside a tubus with fine thread.
