Franka Solida III CLA Lens Shutter (23)

Franka Solida III. German 6x6 Folder from 1952.

Prontor-SV shutter.

Insideview of the now empty shutter Housing. The diaphragma blades are here situated.

Unless you have real trouble with operating the aperture-ring or loose aperture blades don't open any further !

As to cleaning. Just make everything dustfree and clean the surface with a paper tissue wetted with lighterfluid.

You can carefully do the same on the diaphragma blades.

If you flush this Housing with lighterfluid then consider that the grease which is inside (used for the ring) will be (partly) dissolved and find its way to the diaphragma-blades leaving stains there. Doesn't look nice so you will have to clean the blades anyway.

From now on it's re-assemble everything again. Fitting the shutter-baseplate back into the housing can be time-consuming. Just take your time and don't forget to set the flashsynchronisation lever to X first !
