365-day 111... meet my baby brother
today's FGR: Friday I'm in love
I love my little brother so much.. sure we fight, what brother and sister don't!?! but at the end of the day i would take on all his pain and trade him all my joy if it would mean that he would always be happy...
and a bit of a rave for you all tonight..
tonight i rave for organ donors… for their family’s who through all their pain and suffering are able to see that the death of their loved ones means life for others. It must be an incredible decision full of pain and heartache. My brother was the recipient of a heart valve 14ish years ago, a young man in Tennessee died in a motorcycle accident (from what I remember) and his family donated his organs, one of which my brother received. I am so thankful for them, this thanksgiving and everyday of my life, for helping my brother and being a part of something so large. My brother was one of the first few in the US to have this surgery done and it has been such a success…. so I rave to the man who (I hope) smiles down upon us knowing he gave the gift of life, for his family for making such a selfless decision in a time of despair, for the doctors in Oklahoma City who did such an incredible job, and for the 12 year old boy (dear God, how scary must that have been for him), my brother, who handled it like a champ and is still does while being the pain in the ass I love so much :)
