A Load of Water Melons c1921
My grandfather's brother, David, with a good load of water melons which the farmers used to plant around the edges of their crops of wheat or in patches where the wheat hadn't struck well. They were used to feed the pigs, often enjoyed by the family and given away to neighbours.
