Tilbury
Taken on the 20th of April 2013 and uploaded on the 29th of December 2025.
I often enjoyed this view, usually walking towards it after walking along the north bank of the River Thames.
The left of the frame shows the disused booking hall of the closed Tilbury Riverside railway station (the little clock tower) and behind it the grander London International Cruise Terminal (the cupola). The four wind turbines provide some of Tilbury Docks power needs; the remaining buildings will be the warehouses/offices of the docks themselves, and their various lights. The immediate foreground is mud, as the tide is out...
