World Has Gone Conkers, The (by phone)
Today's 'phone pic with my wondrous Google Pixel 7 'phone.
A sign of autumn: I think these trees were planted by someone who knew anyone walking beneath them at a certain time of year ran the risk of being bonked by a conker or two. For me, the pleasure of walking under such fecund greenery is worth that risk.
I have also taken steps to prevent further rainy weather in that I purchased a waterproof cagoule type thing (it calls itself a Packable Parka but it doesn't have any fake fur on it) and it will now not rain for a while. My magic parka arrived just as I arrived home from the river after I got soaked on the way there - I will stiffen up pathetically now.
