River Thames: Procter & Gamble at Grays.

Taken on 26 July 2013 and uploaded 17 July 2024.

Procter & Gamble invented the soap opera, solved dandruff and make a mild, green liquid for hands that do dishes that you can buy in a squeezy bottle.

This is their London factory, which isn't in London, on the north bank of the River Thames at Grays, Thurrock. In Essex.

Behind the factory is a small church, St Clement's, which Procter & Gamble renovated when it fell into disrepair and was vandalised. It's a rather pretty church: see below.

The funeral in "Four Weddings And A Funeral" was filmed at St Clement's.
