This Transformers figure is Mutant Beast Soundwave from the Beast Wars line, released in 2000. The Mutant Beast line was a small subline with only four figures, each one with two "beast" modes and no robot mode. This is the Bat mode, which is much better than the Alligator mode. Alligators aren't usually brown with yellow spots...
