Grasshopper nymph

Taken at Hitchcopse Pit, near Abingdon, this June. This is a very tiny grasshopper nymph (the sand grains and moss will give a sense of scale). He is in the act of eating a grass stalk. I love the delicate tracery of his wing cases.
