Taylor Shorts
Item # 4 sewn from Pattern Revolution's Bundle Up pattern sale!
Pattern: Taylor Shorts by Greenstyle Creations
Option: 8" inseam
Modifications: used 5/8 inch side seam allowance to create a flat-felled side seam; for better, personalized fit, I increased the back darts by about 1/4 inch wider (then had to use a bigger allowance on the waistband side seams so the band's side seams would match the shorts side seams); I also left the right waistband longer past the fly shield and created a tab for a second button/buttonhole closure to help keep the front waistband even when worn (I have a pair of store-bought shorts that have this feature and like them, so I copied it)
Fabric: black stretch denim found among Walmart's "unknown content" fabrics for $3.50/yard (pocket linings are from scraps of cotton woven to reduce the bulk of adding more denim there)
