Happy Tester

The Empire Test Pilots School Agusta A.109E Power ZE416 resplendent in her 70th Anniversary paint scheme taxies out to the '09' hold at RAF Fairford after RIAT 2013.

'Tester' is the radio call-sign used by the ETPS and on her nose you can see the special 'orange painted' pitot tube used in the training syllabus which measures a variety of air 'components' away from the disturbance of the rotor downwash and airframe.

Based at Boscombe Down she waited in the hover before entering and departing East back home to Salisbury Plain.
