Coloured COD
The colour version of the mono one added earlier.
Using HDR Tonemapping I've found I can tease more out of some of these old slides where the light was sometimes challenging.
After the rain, delightful US Navy Grumman C-1A Trader Bu.Aer.No.146028/JM42 from VR-24 Squadron sits on the flight-line at the 1983 'Air Fete', RAF Mildenhall.
From her basic twin-engined robust origins, Grumman produced both the S-2 Tracker and the E-1 Tracer, but the ubiquitous 'Trader' was designed specifically for 'COD' (Carrier On-board Delivery) duties and with a pay-load of nine passengers or 3,500 lbs, they plied their trade all over the world flying personnel, freight, engine-parts and the ever important mail, in support of the various US Navy carrier Air-Wings.
After storage at AMARC this particular example was sold to Brazil either for conversion to turbo-prop or as spares for their own Tracker fleet.
Scanned 35mm transparency with HDR Tonemapping. Always good to look on black too.
