Deserted Provider
ex Military Fairchild C-123 Provider N546S seen at Kingman, Arizona late on 11th October 1996
This one is ex USAF serial number 54-0615 and sold off from the vast numbers that were retired to AMARC.
It's rugged design and twin-prop high-wing and rear-loading, augmented by two podded jet-engines gave it excellent load-carrying capabilities and the added ability to use short unmade jungle airstrips as ably demonstrated in the movies 'Air America' and 'Con-Air'
Scanned 35mm transparency
