Filling the frame - LNER built Class A4 4-6-2 60009 'Union of South Africa' arrives at Ropley Station on the Watercress Line in Hampshire back in 2003
Designed by Sir Nigel Gresley she was built in 1937 at Doncaster and according to Wiki, is one of six surviving streamlined A4 locomotives currently operational and mainline certified.
Originally allocated the name Osprey she was renamed to 'UoSA' to haul the Coronation streamlined train.
Due to political opposition against apartheid in South Africa she was briefly renamed 'Osprey' during part of the 1980s and 1990s - finally reverting back to 'UoSA' as she is today.
