'Clear'
Virgin Atlantic's B747-400 G-VGAL 'Jersey Girl' seen after crossing the 'active' at London's Gatwick Airport while being towed out to the Gate ready for my recent trip to Florida .....
Watching the in-flight map data she had us cruising out across the Atlantic around 38,000 feet with an eventual climb as we crossed West of Newfoundland to 40,000 with a ground speed of 592mph.
The return leg was aboard G-VLIP 'Hot Lips' and climbing to 35,000 feet out of Orlando, heading up the Eastern Seeboard towards Newfoundland with the speed gradually creeping way up past 650mph until the readout showed us at one point doing a ground speed of 722mph!
Then with things slowing down a little as we climbed to 38,000 feet, we made the trip back in just under 8 hours!
Taken through the terminal windows where the old outdoor viewing areas used to be!
