Testers
Part of the Empire Test Pilots School line-up during the 1990 IAT held at their home base of A&AEE Boscombe Down
From the left we have one of their Hawker Hunter T.7's used for inverted spin identification and recovery,
Jaguar T.2A XX830,
Beagle Basset VSS XS743,
Hawk XX341,
Hawk XX342 and finally
Jet Provost T.5 XS230
Back then there was a rich variety of airframes in use - both fixed-wing - including a BAC111 and an Andover C.1 plus Lynx, Sea Kings and a Scout and a Gazelle on the rotary side.
On top of that the School could draw on a variety of airframes in use with the co-located A&AEE
Great days
