Royal Navy 'Fleet Air Arm' BAe Sea Harrier FA/2 ZE695/124 leads the 'SHAR' line-up at the RNAS Yeovilton 'Air Day' held on the 13th July 1996.
Note the different greys used on the fleet back then. The original colour scheme adopted for the FRS.1 version was the standard FAA 'Sea Grey' with white undersides but with the advent of 'hostilities' during the 1982 Falklands War the Sea Harriers were hastily re-painted - some overall 'Barley' grey with the remainder being overall dark grey.
As the airframes were upgraded to FA/2 standard and the new build fleet came on line, various hues of grey followed until they were eventually retired from service.
