In Tolkien's writings, the Forbidden Pool was a refuge for the Rangers, who fought against the evil lord Sauron. This was a beautiful secret place, with a waterfall and a pool called The Forbidden Pool. Since this was a secret protective refugs for the Rangers of Middle Earth, the penalty for trespassing such a place was death. At the bottom of this incredibly beautiful pool were razor-sharp rocks, but the pool was both protective and alluring nevertheless. It was at the Forbidden Pool that Gollum found temporary solace fishing, but Feromir, Boromir's brother, captured Gollum and his companion Frodo. Feromir wanted to take the One Ring to his father, the Steward of Gondor, but finally freed Frodo so that Frodo could destroy the One Ring, along with his companion Sam. This coin is a collectible, OOAK, handmade charmed coin, with a magic blessing for protection and love. It is designed to help open the awareness to the elven/fae realm. It is a wonderful altar piece for those practicing fae/elven Wicca.
