Route 66 Memorial

The Mother Road, historic Route 66, used to run through Petrified Forest National Park, paralleling the line of telephone poles. This stretch was open from 1926 until 1958 and was the primary way millions of travelers experience the National Park. Now, a rusted out 1932 Studebaker marks its memory.
