Christmas season begins December 6 with the feast of Svaty Mikulas (Saint Nicd) and ends with the visit of Tri Kralu (the Three Kings) on January 6. The trees are decorated with nature's gifts (apples, dried fruit wrapped in paper, walnuts, straw garlands, cookies, candles) on Stedry Vecer (Christmas Eve).
