The Finished Piece

There was a Raku firing going on at Clayscapes Pottery, Inc..

 

Once the piece has been dipped in water, it is set aside to cool for a few hours. You can see some of the colors that have formed, but they are masked by the residue of the reduction. The piece will be taken inside, the soot will be removed, and it will be washed before it is displayed.
