We visited our nearest Fiat dealer so they could perform a recall repair on my daughter's Fiat 124 Spider. By nearest, I mean an hour and a half away. There are only a handful of Fiat dealers in California, probably because the Fiat brand has only one car model for sale in the United States. The battery electric 500e is sole representative of the Fiat brand; I'd never seen one before. There aren't many to see. Of the 15,800,000 cars and light trucks sold in America in 2024, only 0.0061 percent of them -- 970 cute little A-class cars -- were Fiats. Stellantis, the cooperate mothership of Fiat, Dodge, Jeep, RAM and ten other brands, is probably keeping Fiat alive in the United States for sentimental reasons. Così è la vita.
