In space

Jupiter, the crescent of Venus and a slice of full Moon (montage).

Venus and Jupiter are from 01.09.2012 01:00 GMT and the Moon from 01.09.2012 18:00 GMT.

Prime focus shots with Celestron Omni XLT 150 Newtonian telescope coupled with Canon 60D via Meade EOS T-ring.

Shooting:

for Jupiter Tv=1/250;

for Venus Tv=1/2500;

for Moon Tv=1/30.

All @ISO100.

RAW Export:

No sharpening, no NR, no exposure adjustment, linear contrast all.

Processing:

Moon - RGB averaged into single gray image, gentle USM in Photoshop.

Venus - levels and gamma.

Jupiter - 6 frames aligned and stacked in RegistaX, no wavelet processing.

All three plates are 100% crops of original images.

The telescope outperforms photo lens greatly but it is so HEAVY and cumbersome to deploy!
