Sergei Golyshev (AFK during workdays)
Narrow miss
Two and a half hours before the occultation, which appeared to be unseen from given location... If only I were in Arusha :(
Still, it was a beautifull conjunction of second and third (Iridium satellites and nearby supernovas aside) brightest celestial bodies. Worth just watching it.
Aquisition time: JD 2456714.665556 (26.02.2014 07:58:24 MSK)
Image orientation: straight.
Equipment:
Canon EOS 60D (unmodded) with Canon EF 70-200 mm f/2.8L IS USM lens and EF 2x III extender mounted on photo-tripod via Manfrotto 410 Junior geared head.
Aperture (effective) 50 mm
Focal length 280 mm
Tv = 1/200 seconds
Av = f/8
ISO 3200 (overdone)
Exposures: 1
Note: it seems that I had somehow broken one of my 410Js in the process. It had got very nasty backlash. They looked so tough.
