The founder of the Hospices de Beaune

He is the founder, with his wife Guigone Salins, the Hospices de Beaune, in 1443. He creates in 1452 a new religious order: Hospital Sisters of Beaune. It is he who controls the polyptych of the Last Judgment in the Flemish painter Rogier van der Weyden, for hospices. He commands a praying portrait of Chancellor Rolin Madonna to Jan van Eyck. He also founded the Chapel of the Convent of the Célestins Avignon with his son who has an affair with a religious and give him a child, Jean Rollin VI. In the Collegiate Church of Autun, he erects Our Lady of Châtel with a Chapter eleven canons.
