The Blimbing rice terraces are some of the most photographed in Bali. Now it is mainly elderly women who do the back breaking work of the planting and daily maintenance of the paddies. Todays younger Balinese tend to see their future in the towns, cities and overseas rather than in the more traditional village based work.
