Penelope Menchaca is the daughter of Dolores Menchaca, the director of the Ballet Folklorico de Mexico. She performed for several years with her mother's touring company, then had a band, then was invited to L.A. to be a radio personality. This led to her hosting the U.S. version of the Argentinian show "12 Corazones" in 2005. It airs on Telemundo and is filmed right here in L.A.
She danced a bit for this special, but you can tell it's been a while! Look at those not-quite-slender legs...
