Sapa girl with plant

A hill-tribe girl ambles along one of the many paths that criss-cross the Sapa valley walls. After continued discrimination against these tribal groups, considered non-participatory gyspies by the Vietnamese government, these groups are reliant on tourism (focusing mainly on hiking and guided tours), along with rice and opium production, as a major source of income.
