Ann Marie 67/100

I paid a visit to Salisbury this afternoon to see if I could get back into the swing of of it having had an outing last week and finding no inspiration.

I walked into the city past the Cathedral, not knowing the area that well at least I would be able to find where I had parked my car. I have walked under the gateway here goo.gl/maps/JaGf4t3NHv82 paying little attention to it. It was only as I walked back out I noticed the nice details in the wood and set about looking for a subject to suit it.

I walked on a little and saw Ann Marie sitting on a bench. I approached and made my introductions and explained the project in some length. Ann Marie was very helpful agreeing to take part and walk the short distance back to the gates and was a delight to talk to. I found out a little about Ann Marie including the fact that she is a naturally private person and in fairness to that I won't include anything further.

We were standing in the middle of the narrow road to get the gates behind Ann Marie and after taking this first shot it got really busy with vehicle and foot traffic.

Its my habit to take at least 5 or 6 shots as a minimum as using manual lenses and manual settings mis focus and exposure errors creep in. While waiting for the road to clear I reviewed the image and was perfectly happy with it, so not wanting to delay Ann Marie further I thanked her for her time and handed over a card.

Ann Marie, if you would like a high resolution copy drop me an e mail.

This picture is No. 67 in my 100 strangers project.
