Catamaran sail ghosting

This is the same sail that I photographed here;

Only on this one I played around in Photoshop and really tried to bring out the texture in the sail which was so incredibly beautiful!

I took this shot after waking up late on Christmas day. They love fire crackers here in Sri Lanka and compared to what we have in Europe these are more like bombs than crackers! Although I love watching them they do make It virtually impossible to sleep during major holidays here ; )

Traditionally the catamaran sails are painted red in Sri Lanka, but this one was not painted yet. The view with the palm trees and catamaran from our balcony looked like a scene from a traveling catalog so I went out and took some shots of the boat. They are such lovely boats and you see them by the hundreds early in the morning hugging the costal line looking for fish. A funny thing about the sail is that since the quality of the fabric is not what we would use for sails, they splash water on them so as to make them able to catch more wind.

Merry Christmas everyone!
