16 Things...

Tagged first by Rebecca/Squirrel Junkie! I tried to pretend it hadn't happened, but I was tagged again by Maggie (momoko girl)...so I will do my duty. =)

My instructions: Write 16 things about yourself, then tag others!

1. I have the opposite of road rage, which I call "road serenity"...I get very calm and tend to drive too slowly. I love catching all the red lights so I can listen to my music longer in the car.

2. I grew up on Long Island, home of Amy Fisher, Joey Buttafuoco, The Amityville Horror and - in my little hometown - the "Say You Love Satan" murders, which were turned into a bad true-crime novel.

3. As a child, I was Little Orphan Annie for Halloween every year. This was very important. Yea, Andrea McCardle!

4. My favorite movies include "The Producers" (the original!!) and "The Big Lebowski."

5. I met Richard Dreyfuss on the steps of the Supreme Court on my 5th-grade trip to Washington D.C.

6. I never played with dolls as a child. Someone once gave me a Cabbage Patch Doll for Christmas, but I decapitated it so I could decorate the head.

7. My favorite toy was my electric typewriter. My sister and I wrote many bad adventure novels. My childhood works included "The Mystery of the Beady Eyes" and "Fraud In the President's Chair," about a talking worm who lived in the grave of Margaret Mead.

8. I am a social worker (hi, BrickMillStudio!) and I love working with older adults.

9. I played Snoopy in my elementary-school production of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown."

10. I have a diabetic cat.

11. I was constantly bullied in junior high. I got mobbed on the playground and beaten up and my stuff would be stolen. So I would stay after school every day, and the janitor would help me go through all the trash cans to try to recover some of my things.

12. I was an Obama delegate for my legislative district.

13. I prefer a damp, foggy climate to a dry, sunny one.

14. I love the smell of Play-Doh and crayons.

15. I enjoy wearing argyle socks.

16. If I won the lottery, I might like to move into an abandoned dairy farm in Vermont with my dolls, and just re-read all my books for a year.
