Muted Carrizo colors on a drizzly morning, in the great 2019 Superbloom!

Looking north from the Crocker Spring road, headed towards Taft for a hot-water wash-up, breakfast and coffee. Me & my camping gear got pretty wet the night before....

In the foreground are many, many Amsinkia sp. fiddlenecks, Interior bush daisy and a few owl clovers. On the BG slopes, the lighter violet and darker blue-violet are (I think) two sp. of Phacelia. I particularly like the painterly effect of the bushes to the left, which (I'm guessing) retain a bit more moisture and provide a bit of a windbreak.
