32/52: The weekly photo challenge- Memories – anything that conjures up memories for you. It can be an emotion, or it can be something handed down to you through the generations.
Adopting Bruno has brought back wonderful memories of Tess, our beautiful golden retriever. We had Tess from a puppy and she was with us for 14 wonderful years. She was that one in a million and I still miss her 6 years on. After losing Tess, we adopted Chester, a blind one eyed 10 year old black lab. He was an amazing dog and even though he was blind, he could run and fetch sticks and toys. He was such a character and we were so lucky to have had him in our lives for 3 years. After two and a half dog free years, Bruno (aged 12) has come into our lives. We didn't dream we could be so lucky again but he is a dream dog. Bruno is bigger and darker than Tess but I look at him and see Tess, especially when out walking. So adopting Bruno has been a double whammy for us...not only is he a fabulous, well behaved, handsome boy who makes me smile every day, but he also brings back such happy memories of our dear old Tess. Probably not the best photo but I think it fits the bill for the theme.
