Volkswagen Beetle
Vacation in Italy, 35+ degrees celcius so we decided to go for a walk in a village on the south of Lake Trasimeso.
I shot a few nice spots, but more to fill the 'holiday pictures'. We decided to go back to our hotel and walked towards the parking place. Then I saw a man and his wife getting out of their brand new Porsche Cayenne and I shouted ' waaauuwww!!! ', to express I saw a real beauty.
The man slowed down his effort to get away from his car so I could get closer with my camera. Then the man noticed I had something else on my mind.. I aimed my camera at a car wich was just around the corner. It was an old Volkswagen Beetle which was perfectly positioned in front of a shop.
I didn't had time to look at the Porsche driver, but my girlfriend had the pleasure of watching this story unfold like a joke. The man must have been a bit disappointed ;-).
As I didn't had my tripod with me, this would be a quite challenging shoot.
I decided that this was going to be THE vacation HDR, so I didn't want to find out at the hotel that something was wrong. I configured the 40D for all exposeres and tried a few angles. I just felt this was going to be a very nice HDR.
After taking the pictures I walked to my girfriend. 'Is this a Ferrari' she said? No, this is a brand new Porsche Cayenne. Well it's a beautiful car she said. As we walked away I looked back again at the Volkswagen and said; Yes, it's a nice car.....'.
