background painting

I have never done a journal or altered book & a good friend of mine is hosting a monthly journal calendar share. I decided to give it a try. I have been wanting to do a journal like this for a while now.

This is the start of my June page. It doesn't even bother me that I am starting in June. I painted the pages these colors because it reminds me what I am seeing outside. The blue sky, the green grass.
