Ashoka Pillar at Lucknow
Popularly called Ashok Ki Laat, stands as a heritage within the historic Kaiserbagh roundabout in Lucknow.
Inaugurated and dedicated to the people of Lucknow, on 25th January 1958, by Shri V. V. Giri, then Governor of Uttar Pradesh, to mark the commemoration of the first Republic Day of India on 26th of January 1950.
The white marble column is exquisitely carved and crafted and surrounded by a now defunct fountain.
