St Philip's Church, Eaglesfield. Christmas tree festival 2012

The organ dates from 1900, it has 4 stops, 8ft open diapason, 4ft principal, 8ft viol de gamba, 8ft dulciana. a pedal bourdon and a pedal to great coupler. There are 2 foot operated stop presets and a swell. The front display is mostly dummy pipework with only 8 pipes connected to supply. It was electrically blown from the 1960s but can be pumped if needed from the handle on the side. the panel to the right of the organist bench is the vestry door and the organ takes up a small footprint of a little over 5ft square including blower but minus pedals. A "Sheffield" plaque is fitted but the actual maker is unknown but is being researched. The organ is played for every service, currently 2 a month and the organ is tuned yearly.
