Synthetic Fluorescent Mineral Art: Sunnygreenlite Blobs1 - UVc

Frozen melted salt containing the Sunnygreenlite phosphor. Melted on an aluminum tray on a limestone platform. The sample on the left contains ~2x as much Cu as the other two samples.

 

Suspected phosphor: SrS:Cu+,Pb in NaCl

 

Contains:

SrS:Cu,Pb (FL+PHOS! Pink, Green,Green,Bluish green >BL UVa,b,c)

 

Li2CO3 (added as flux)

 

Shown under UVc light.

 

Key:

WL = White light (halogen + LED)

FL = Fluoresces

PHOS = Phosphorescent

BL = 450nm,

UVa = 368nm (LW), UVb = 311nm (MW), UVc = 254nm (SW)
