Connecticut Fluorite (var. Chlorophane) - UVc

 

From Trumbull, CT USA comes this 2.5" wide specimen of chlorphane. Chorophane is unique in that it is very thermoluminescent. It displays pale blue greenish phosphorescence after being slightly heated. Some chlorophane glows from just the warmth of being held in the hand.
