Now, about the view. I am standing on top of the Marina Bay Sands hotels, tower 3, Skypark. All the way up, the left part of the observation deck, as you can see on this photo. The time is about 8 pm. My friend Hock Chuan joined me on this photo tour and inspired by the view he is wondering whether he should do this more often ;)

Facing the skyline of the city the Fullerton hotel is in front of you, find the water spitting Merlion statue before that, some tourists are just taking another photo down there. A traditional sightseeing boat with red lamps is about to go back to the Singapore river under the bridge of Esplanade drive.

Follow the river. The boat will go under 2 older bridges, that are behind the Fullerton. The second is actually hidden on this photo, that is decorated with blue lights. High rising bank buildings on the left. Then the boat will pass Boat Quay, you can see the many colorful tents on the waterfront, those are all restaurants and pubs. My other good friend, Siva, knows the best Chinese restaurant in town here, where we had a long chat about the meaning of life not too long ago. Behind these restaurants you can see very interesting back alleys, look at this photo of mine. On the right side of the river, opposite to the restaurants the Asian Civilizations Museum, later on the old and new buildings of the Parliament.

Then the boat passes the bridge under South Bridge road, that leads to Chinatown on the left. Another bridge and you arrived to Clarke Quay. See the CQ sign on the buidling. The bungee 'catapult' tower, then the line of other colorful restaurants. You can even see the lights of the street canopy covering the streets of Clarke Quay. See my (much closer) photo of this street canopy here.

The imaginary boat tour ends here.

Have a good night Singapore and my Friends, I miss you, hope to see you again soon!

If you are interested, a few words about the Flickr technical reasons why I posted a thumbnail here. Firstly, Flickr cuts the visible size to 1000 pixels anyways ( I tried ), even that is 1:14 so 500 or 1000 are in the same ballpark for a pano. The second important reason is that Flickr would not allow to make a brightness adjustment on the 500 and lower resolution views. Imagine the original image downsized, you would probably see a nearly black rectangle. Consequently I made this 500 pix image with extra brightness, while not impacting the perfect view of the original - and called this what this really is, a thumbnail.
