Birds on a wire...a fence for Friday!

These beautiful little birds posed prettily on a fence near the vegetable and flower gardens at the Biltmore estate. Two of them came nice and close while their friend is just a yellow blob in the background. He wasn't in the mood for a photoshoot I guess :-)

 

I'm just as bad with bird names as I am with flower names, so thanks to Pixelmama for identifying these as goldfinches! Wow...as much as I love nature, I really know nothing about it...!
