Black & white "Monster"

He always loved working the camera, w/o a doubt, the only cat I've owned that love the camera.

Sadly, we lost Monster in July 2014... RIP our beloved Monster, we miss you beyond words...a tribute to our best friend for 17 years.... so much to say about a cat we could not say good-bye to, but finally had to let him go. In 2006, he lost a kidney and lived in ICU Cheshire Veterinary Hospital and Emergency Center for almost 2 weeks, costing us a significant portion of the down payment of our house. Since then he survived living w/ one kidney, in renal failure, hyperthyroid and had cardiomyopathy. He was a fighter, an affectionate love-bug, and sometimes a mean S.O.B. but always the alpha male of our home - no other dog or cat (not even my neighbor's doberman) would cross his path. He loved protecting his home and I think even us. I loved watching him and his daily routine of walking to the end of the driveway and back, then settling up on the stonewall to snooze away the afternoon, as if guarding his territory. He was a brave old soul and a cat we will never forget.
