Traditionally the Cow has been accorded greater respect than a large section of humanity itself in India. "Cow is pure, do not kill it" extorts the Rg Veda (VIII.101.15). This however might merely indicate the pastoral nature of vedic life. Juxtaposition of tradition and the material as in the image nevertheless augurs well for India.
